The 30 mm flat mouthpiece, articulated at a 90° angle, naturally follows the contour of the horse’s jaw. This unique design ensures a broad contact surface, even pressure distribution, and promotes relaxation and freedom of movement. The integrated tongue relief helps reduce pressure on the palate and supports jaw mobility and bit acceptance.

The snail bit shares some similarities with a Pelham, but with one major distinction:

The horse feels no pressure on the poll, as there is no action on the headstall or cheekpieces.
It is the only leverage bit that applies absolutely no poll pressure.
It functions through direct action combined with the curb strap, which results in less neck flexion and restriction than a Pelham, as it does not affect the head-neck angle.
